The TRIME project engaged social housing residents to empower and motivate them to save energy. The project centred on creating a model that recruits and trains tenants to be volunteer Energy Ambassadors who can provide energy saving advice to their friends and neighbours. Once the training is complete the social housing organisations support the energy advisors to find households interested in receiving energy saving advice and keep regular contact with them. The project ran in 5 countries (United Kingdom, France, Spain, the Netherlands and Belgium).
