Energy Social Housing Innovative Financing Tender (EnerSHIFT)

Tags: Social housing

EnerSHIFT (H2020 694816) aims at launching 14,59 million € of energy investments with the retrofitting of around 43 social housing buildings throughout the 4 provinces of Liguria. The scope of social housing in Italy is quite narrow and addresses the most vulnerable part of the population. Therefore project activities can be considered relevant for energy poverty.

European Energy Poverty: Agenda Co-Creation and Knowledge Innovation (ENGAGER)

European Energy Poverty: Agenda Co-Creation and Knowledge Innovation (ENGAGER) is a research network funded via the European Co-operation in Science and Technology (COST) scheme. It aims to develop and grow an international community of researchers and practitioners focused on combating energy poverty. ENGAGER runs until December 2022. The network (also called ‘Action’ by COST) involves more than 60 representatives of, inter alia, universities, research institutes, governments, businesses, advocacy groups and think tanks from at least 30 different countries. The Action operates across disciplinary domains that have rarely communicated to date, having mobilised significant numbers of researchers and activists from countries where energy poverty rates are high but the issue is under-represented in the public polity. ENGAGER is organised in four work packages focusing on, respectively, knowledge integration, measurement frameworks, knowledge exchange and socio-technical innovation. Its principal activities include organising and supporting international conferences, workshops, exchanges and study visits; as well as producing scientific outputs and policy briefs.

inBETWEEN simultaneously assists users to identify energy waste, learn how they can conserve energy and motivate them to act. The inBetween solution will help users integrate their building’s connected devices and systems with advanced energy analytics and optimisation services to create a comprehensive recommendation and feed-back solution which will facilitate further behaviour change towards more energy and cost efficient daily routines. This solution will be tested (among others) in 44 social housing apartments in France.
