Description
Using temperature measurements collected with data loggers from 37 low-income dwellings of two main coastal cities in Cyprus, as well as a questionnaire survey that examined the economic status, dwelling energy consumption and perception of thermal comfort of the inhabitants, this study indicates that the average indoor air temperatures of the low-income households of Cyprus are lower than the thermal criteria and the accepted limits of the comfort zone for the island (18-21°C in winter), however a small number of low-income households reported thermal discomfort.
