Thermal renovation works: important changes for households in energy poverty

Between 2008 and 2012, one-third of French households carried out energy-related work in their homes. This type of renovation was conducted more frequently than on average in individual houses and dwellings occupied by owners or well-off households.
Energy performance analyses conducted in 2013 made, on average, between 3 and 4 recommendations for work per dwelling. The potential for work appeared to be higher in rented individual houses and in dwellings occupied by fuel poor households. These were, accordingly, the target of twice the average number of recommendations for large and profitable investments.
