Support for the Vulnerable Customer in the Light of the Provisions of the Energy Law
The article refers to the energy allowance, which is granted by the territorial self-government units. The authors first analyse the issues regarding the positioning of the protection of the vulnerable consumer in the provisions of the EU directives, to then move on to the detailed considerations regarding the procedural and substantive law aspects of the application of national regulations governing the award of energy allowances to consumers who are sensitive to electricity. The authors arrive at the conclusion that the energy allowance, as a social welfare service is related to the housing allowance. The legal implications of such a relationship have been presented in detail in this article.
