Research on energy poverty in Greece

This publication utilises subjective indicators in order to calculate energy poverty in a sample of 814 households in Greece. According to the results of the analysis, 30.2% of the households surveyed find it difficult to pay the bill for heating their home, while for 62.4% of the households these expenditures exceed 10% of their income. Furthermore, 78.6% of the respondents claimed that they use less heating than necessary due to the reduced income available.
