Energy poverty in Spain. Analysis of tendencies

In 2012, a study carried out by the Association of Environmental Sciences (ACA) on energy poverty in Spain found that in 2010 the percentage of Spanish households with disproportionate energy expenditure reached 12% (close to 5 million people) and the percentage of Spanish households incapable of keeping a constant and livable room temperature in winter reached 8% (approximately 3.5 million people). This study in 2014 shows an increase in these figures of respectively 17% (more than 7 million people) and 9% (approximately 4 million people) in 2012. This implies a relative increase of, respectively, 34% and 19% in less than two years.
