STAKEHOLDER DIALOGUE ON ENERGY POVERTY

STAKEHOLDER DIALOGUE ON ENERGY POVERTY

The Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning of Croatia hosted " The Second Stakeholder Dialogue of Partners" with a theme "Energy Poverty" on 1st February. Dialogue was held as an active workshop, attended by representatives of public administration, real sector and academic society of Croatia. Number of participants was 100. The goal of the dialogue was to define the criteria for energy poverty, which will then be implemented in public calls for energy reconstruction of residential buildings, primarily family houses. The main idea was to allocate the maximum percentage of non-refundable funds for the energy reconstruction of  energy-poor households

The Ministry of Construction and Physical Planning supports the European Union's vision of decarbonising buildings by 2050. Taken that into consideration, Ministry initiated the "Charter of Co-operation for the Decarbonisation of Buildings by 2050" in Croatia. The signing of the Charter encourages continuous cooperation of all stakeholders  on the preparation of the Long-Term Strategy for the Reconstruction of the National Fund of Buildings and the transition to the standard of Nearly zero energy buildings (nZEB).
