Municipalities can apply for technical assistance from EU Energy Poverty Observatory
Last week, the EU Energy Poverty Observatory presented a new Guidance on designing effective energy poverty policies in municipalities in a webinar organised by the Covenant of Mayors. This guidance contains an easy and intuitive three-step approach for municipalities to start thinking about possible policy options and work towards the implementation of realistic and appropriate local energy poverty policies.
The EU Energy Poverty Observatory is now inviting municipalities to apply for technical assistance with the implementation of this guidance. This means that the municipalities will receive targeted support with the design of a suitable energy poverty policy, including insights from best practices and recommendations based on the local circumstances.
Applying for technical assistance is simple: just send an email to email@example.com before July 18 including your name, position and a short description of your municipality and motivation.
After July 18, five interested municipalities will be selected based on geographical diversity, capacity and size. The technical assistance from the EU Energy Poverty Observatory will be available from July to September. Please note that the technical assistance does not include funding to implement designed projects.
