Iryna Nesterenko is a PhD Candidate at the Chair of Comparative Politics and Political Theory at the University of Siegen, Germany. She received an advanced training in energy economics and law at the Institute for Mining and Energy Law in Bochum, Germany. Working at the intersection of the European Union Studies and International Relations, her research interests include EU's External Energy Relations, linkage between domestic and EU politics, Regional Integration and Global Energy Governance and Energy Poverty. She is interested in networking with the EU policy- and decision-makers and advocacy organizations in the above mentioned areas, as well as with the Member States' representatives, especially from Eastern Europe.
