She graduated in 2012 at the University of Bologna, with a master thesis in urban planning at the Radboud University Nijmegen, The Netherlands. She is currently MC Substitute for Italy in the European Energy Poverty COST Action.

Her research has mainly focused on urban planning and particularly on the impact of occupant behaviour on building renovation policies for improving energy efficiency in the public housing sector.
She has recently started to focus on behaviour change as a strategy to alleviate energy poverty, particularly prevalent in social housing.

She is also very much interested in investigating further strategies to tackle energy poverty related to cooling behaviour, a growing phenomenon which has received so far much less attention than the heating patterns.
