Privacy of our email lists
We maintain e-mail lists to keep interested, eligible individuals informed about important topics, and individuals must affirmatively request to join them.
We configure our list server software to refuse to divulge the email addresses of our list subscribers to anyone other than those whom we authorize. We do not divulge any email address registered from the Website.
However, we are not the author of this software, and are not responsible for any failures in the software to preserve subscriber anonymity.

Subscribers to our e-mail list may terminate their subscriptions via a link at the bottom of each email sent from the consortium.

What we do with the information we gather?
The purpose of this data processing is the creation of a database for the whole energy poverty community. We mainly require this key information for the monitoring and evaluation processes.
The collected information will also be used to customise the EU Energy Poverty Observatory website (www.energypoverty.eu) in order to provide you with content that is tailored to your own interests.
This database will finally help us to periodically contact you and other members, keeping you informed about the latest developments of the EU Energy Poverty Observatory initiative and its related events.
Who has access to your information?
The data collected in the online restricted area is managed by the University of Manchester. The European Commission’s Directorate-General for Energy will have access to the required data for the monitoring and evaluation purposes. We will not distribute your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission.
How can you modify or delete your personal information?
You may update or delete your data and contact details at any time.
- To edit your account, you need to login in to your membership account and change your profile accordingly (visit your profile when logged in, and click on the Edit tab).
- To delete your account permanently, please contact the portal administrator.
